Gastown - Vancouver, BC
Events, Retail, Meetings, Production
A snug tavern serving inventive cocktails, street-style bites and unique draught beer with a rare ambience. Named for John Clough, 19th century Gastown's booze-addled lamplighter and jailer, the Clough Club melds classic style with tasteful modernity. Designer Craig Stanghetta (Bao Bei, Meat and Bread) used as much of the 110-year old building's bones as possible, commissioning installations and creating decor that offset the old-fashioned feel of the original space.
The establishment opens for regular service at 5pm, this quote is a daytime rental fee. The space can also easily be split into two separate areas, making an ideal space for small, medium and large groups.
The large front area - great for groups of up to 50 - features a winding full service bartop and low slung banquette seating. Down the hall, the back area opens into a small private space for up to 25, with full bar capabilities and a warm, escape-like feel from anywhere, really.
