BOOKING FEE (Unless otherwise arranged and agreed upon in writing) a booking fee is required to hold the date of your event. No date is guaranteed until a booking fee (that is equal to 50% of the total rental fee) is received. There shall be NO refund of booking fee after 24 hours from the signing of agreement due to the reservation of your sought after date.
Once a booking fee or balance is paid, it is NON-REFUNDABLE.
DAMAGES, STORAGE, SPECIAL MATERIAL DISPOSAL wall mounted decorations, changing the paint colour on walls and/or ceilings for a particular aesthetic, and/or set building for a specific production or event is permitted. At the end of your booking, the space is to be returned in the same state as originally provided (ie. all modifications, painting, décor items and props and garbage must be removed). To respect the other commissioners of the space, we reserve the right to bring in our own ‘resetting staff’ to return our space to its regular condition. Their resetting expenses will be added to your final rental fee and deducted from your damage deposit. If any items are left behind that need to be returned, a storage and delivery fee will be added to the total rental fee. If “special” materials (like oils, paints, hazardous material, etc…) or excessive garbage that does not fit into the (3) provided garbage bags, a disposal (min $150.00) fee will be added to the total rental fee.
NO SMOKING If our studio staff catches anyone smoking inside our property throughout an event, or cleaning personnel find evidence of smoking in our studio throughout your booking, a minimum cleaning fee of $250CAD will be added to your total rental fee. If ashes and carcinogen materials are found and/or have left marks on walls or furniture, a maximum cleaning fee of $500 CAD will be added to your total rental fee. If smoking damage is found to be over and above the set cleaning fees listed above, you will be required to pay for repairs or replacement fees at their invoiced price which will be added to your total rental fee. *Our event staff has the right to close down any event and ask for all guests to leave if someone is smoking indoors
LIQUOR is only permitted on site after providing SPOT CINEMA INC. a Special Occasions Permit (SOP), acquired by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).
OVERTIME all booking rates are negotiated and agreed upon by usage. A Start and End time is detailed on your rental agreement. (Unless otherwise arranged and agreed upon in writing) any time required before or after your allotted rental time will be invoiced for overtime at $100.00 CAD an hour between the hours of 8am-11:59pm. All hours between 12am and 7:59am in overtime will be invoiced at $150.00 CAD an hour.
