Centrally located between Gastown and Chinatown, our meeting/event space features 1,700 sq ft street facing event space, including a front lounge, an open-concept space that can be fully customized, 2 washrooms and a kitchenette. This venue is a space for team retreats, professional development seminars, exhibitions, readings, talks, launches, pop-up shops and more. Our venue is a flexible space for your event.

We offer:
• Central downtown location, only 1 block away from Stadium-Chinatown skytrain station
• A venue space that can accommodate anywhere from as little as 10 people to a maximum of 100 standing
• Unlimited wifi

• Presentation style seating for 40 people

• Partitioned areas for breakout sessions/training
• Long-table workshop set-up for up to 20 people

Smaller bookings of under 25 people for partial use of the space can be discussed. Just ask us!

1. If you would like to serve liquor, you must obtain a Special Event Permit and there will be an increased cleaning fee. We can also coordinate a paid bar service on your behalf, please let us know!
2. If you serve any form of drinks or catering it will incur an increased cleaning fee.
3. A minimum rental fee of $500 is applicable to Friday and Saturday evening.
4. Renters are permitted to leave 2 bags of garbage per day, there is VERY limited on-site disposal. All other garbage and recycling must be taken at the end of the event, otherwise the renter will be subject to a $100 charge from the deposit.
5. Renters can bring in their own AV equipment.

This space and working with Sean was such a seamless experience. Sean was so quick in getting back to me on questions I had and was so accommodating with letting me come view the space as many times as needed before the event. Great space, great experience.


January 2018

We rented the space for my mums 60th birthday party. Our group of about 50 guest fit easily with lots of room to spare. Sean was super easy to communicate with. He emailed back right away & was very helpful day or and prior to the event when I had questions. We brought in our own food & booze but were able to make use of the fridge and coffee maker. Having 2 bathrooms was very handy. The only thing I could recommend is that they post some photos of the even space in the evening when the lights are dimmed. I worried from the online photos it may feel a bit clinical or like we were in an office space but it wasn’t at all! It really has great ambiance. With just the string lights and some candles I brought it looked great that night. I wouldn’t hesitate to book the venue again.

This space was absolutely gorgeous and all of our guests loved the venue! Most importantly, our host Sean went above and beyond to make sure everything went well for our event. Great organization and communication. He was very warm, helpful, attentive, and always gave his best suggestions and opinions to help us out. We are very pleased and grateful with our entire experience with Sean and thisopenspace!
