Located in the North Junction, this unique spacious storefront space is perfect for art and music lovers alike. This space showcases a seemingly unlimited variety of framed art, highlighted by a 800+ collection of authentic midcentury Paint by Number art. The are also many pieces of valuable Canadian and international paintings- all original. It is also furnished with antique furniture and accessories. Also, it has a beautiful collection of handprinted one of a kind textiles, made on site in the basement silkscreen studio that you are also free to use ! A trully one of a kind space, like nothing else in the world !! Great for Hallowe'en partys, too !!
The space also includes a fully equipped kitchen and BOSE speaker sound system and a professional photographers light. This is an extremely unique venue that can house a variety of smaller events, and is also conducive to production and film bookings. And because of the building's locations, noise - even at night is not an issue - have (loud!) fun !! The most recent video for The Used was entirely filmed here - Rise Up Lights - it is on youtube [link hidden]- worth a look. It is an extremely versatile space !!
Cleaning Fee: $29
Minimum Booking: 1 hour
Make all the noise you want - the building is separate from the neighbours so that is fine. This is a great, creative space to have fun.
From the pictures to our video it was identical to what you get, everything turned out great and Kingi was very accomidating
Kingi was fabulous. Her space was so fun and perfect. Highly recommend!
Kingi was a dream come true. Her space was exactly what we needed for our NYE celebration. She made some amazing silk prints with all the guests names on it. She was very honest and helpful throughout the whole process, making for a successful night for everyone involved. The space itself is stunning and worked as an amazing backdrop for our evening. Thank you so much Kingi!!!!
Kingi is really an amazing person and her place is truly unique. We threw a Halloween party and it was the perfect setting, we had the freedom to move things around to have a dancing space, she let us use her computer and speakers, and then she printed a bunch of pillow cases and t-shirts with the party theme. I can totally recommend this space!
Great experience from start to finish. Kingi was a pleasure and the space is easily one of the most interesting I've shot in Toronto. The possibilities are endless because almost everything can be rearranged.
This space is truly unique and Kingi has done a fantastic job of making it that way with an amazing array of framed paint-by-numbers works on the walls, and antique furniture. Because of it's specific style, it might not be suited to every event or project, but for my photo/video shoot, it was perfect, and I'd imagine it would be perfect for lots of people. Kingi was a pleasure to deal with throughout and is a talented creator in her own right. She invited me to visit the space and allowed me to take some test photos prior to going ahead with my booking, which was very helpful in allowing me to make the right decision and gave me peace of mind. I can definitely recommend. - Andrew, AKA Havens (singer/songwriter @musicbyhavens).
This artspace was fantastic and fun for my Harry Potter party. Kingi was a fantastic host and even printed amazing silk screen napkins and pillow cases. I REALLY loved how the pictures turned out at this venue. It's a great value for a good sized space and is definitely going to be an unforgettable party. Thank you so much.
