Modern Space In A Heritage Building
About
A beautiful foyer and meeting room in one of Toronto's most historical heritage buildings! The building, built in 1827, was the original Bank of Upper Canada Building, right next to Canada's first post office.
The foyer features detailed dark wood walls with a bold, floral wallpaper, velvet accent chairs and modern furniture styling. The statement chandelier and ceiling medallion add to the historical-meets-modern feel of the room.
The meeting room is a true beauty, featuring nearly 20ft ceilings. Dark wood floor-to-ceiling bookshelves line half the space, with a large (non functional) wood fireplace on the east side of the room, before white walls featuring detailed mouldings begin. The far south wall features mixed bricks and a large, original fixed arch window.
We filled the historical space with modern furniture, including a blush velvet curved couch, two velvet swivel chairs, bronze and marble accent tables, and trendy coffee table books and tchotchkes. The designer light fixture and large, detailed ceiling medallion add beautiful elements to the modern & historical contrast of the room.
The bookshelves contain coffee table books or can be emptied completely and filled with your production's props.

We loved using this space for a client website shoot. Elizabeth was really helpful and promptly greeted us, showed us the space and was there for anything we need. Would definitely recommend this beautiful space.
