Large, level grass field with gravel lot in the heart of one of Toronto's newest neighbourhoods, adjacent to the Distillery District, is the new Canary District (the former Pan-Am Athlete's village). The Field neighbours two condos (a total of 815 residential units), the George Brown College residence (housing 500 students), the Cooper Koo YMCA (with 8,000 members and over 700 daily visitors), along with a number of great retail offerings. The Canary District is home to 30,000 square feet of retail space including popular Toronto institutions such as Gears Bike Shop, Tabule and Dark Horse Espresso Bar, to name a few.
The north portion of the Field, is a ~30,000 square foot gravel parking lot with room for approximately 50 vehicles. The south portion of the Field, is a ~40,000 square foot level grass field, with enough room for pop-ups, activations and events of almost any size. The Field is bounded on the north by Front Street East and on the south by Mill Street.
The Field is easily accessible via the King/Cherry Street streetcar (on the new Cherry Street loop) and the Bayview Extension. It provides easy vehicular access to both the Don Valley Parkway and Gardiner Expressway. A five minute walk west along Mill Street lands you in the center of the Distillery Historic District, with additional retail and restaurant offerings.
With over 200 public parking spots (both covered and street parking) in the immediate vicinity of the Field, your guests and customers will not have to walk very far to see you.
